What the beta stores
Travel Trivia stores pasted memories and supported Step text, dates and places from an official Polarsteps export. A clearly Step-linked photo is kept as a resized JPEG with metadata removed. User-selected card photos, settings, generated cards and private-link records are also stored.
Why it is processed
Your content is used to import the trip, generate 20 evidence-linked cards and let you edit, play or privately share that game. The local beta has no checkout, payment or order processing.
Private by default
Your project is not publicly indexed and its owner view is tied to the browser session that created it. Private-link players see cards, answers and displayed source excerpts, but not the original ZIP or complete source list.
Generation in this preview
Cards are generated deterministically inside the application server. Trip content is not sent to an external AI or model service. Every factual card remains linked to its supplied memory.
Retention and deletion
The raw ZIP exists only temporarily during import and is deleted after success or failure. Extracted text, sanitized linked photos and pasted memories remain until you delete the whole project. Automatic expiry and separate source deletion are not part of this beta.
Your choices
You can edit wording, regenerate or delete cards, and delete the whole project. Share-link management, a production retention policy and a complete rights-request process are launch requirements.
